Why Network for Women in Policy (NWIP)?
Pakistan lacks a supportive environment for women in leadership positions. Women make up more than 50% of the population; however, they are underrepresented in all fields of endeavor. The irony of the situation is that women are underrepresented at all levels of the pyramid; the battle is just as fierce for those at the top. In particular, the system has a myopia; the institutional procedures do not fully acknowledge the participation of women in decision-making.
OUR MISSION
We will focus upon multiple categories of Women in Policy making, with the mission that they are crucial for incorporating a balanced gender lens in policy and eventually for formulating holistic policies.
